The medieval village of Kostanjica, located near Grožnjan, overlooks the Mirna River valley. Once renowned for its boatmen who transported goods along the Mirna River to the sea, today it’s famous worldwide for its wines. We, the Zigante family, are proud to be among the producers from this region. Tradition and passion connect us to the vine and wine, and we are especially proud of the fact that our family once included master barrel makers. For example, our great-grandfather Giovanni skillfully crafted his own barrels to store the wine he produced. Thanks to this inherited expertise and the adoption of modern techniques, we are now proud to produce wines with a protected geographical indication.
