Medieval town of Kostanjica (Castagna), not far from Grožnjan (Grisignana), overlooks the valley of the Mirna (Quieto) River. Once also known for the boatmen who used to transport goods along the river, all the way to the sea, today it is particularly well-known in the world of wine. We, the Zigante family, are among the local producers of the area. Linked to vine and wine trough tradition and passion we are also proud to have had master coopers in our family. For instance, our great-grandfather, Giovnni, made his own barrels with great craftsmanship and used them to store the wine he produced. THfnks to his experience and the new, recently adopted techniques, today we are proud to produce vines with a registered designation of origin. Aside from the many awards we received, we are delighte€ by the numerous favourable opinions provided directly by wine lovers. Cheers!
